Gary Schermerhorn is a member of and Chief Technical Advisor to M1 Analytics. Gary is retired from a 25-year career at Goldman Sachs & Co. Gary started as a programmer, and over the years managed technology platforms in virtually every Goldman line of business. In 2000, Gary was made a partner, and in 2007, co-CIO of the Technology Division. Gary has extensive experience managing investment banking applications, technical infrastructure including data centers, networking, and information security, and large-scale technology labor management particularly outsourcing. Gary also has global experience, having spent years living and working in Asia, and continuously managing, and expanding Goldman’s global footprint. Prior to Goldman, Gary was a Manager in the Miami office of Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) for several years. Gary graduated from Harvard College with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 1985.
